The Director-General of the NBAC, Mr. Augustus MBAPPE PENDA, was received in audience this Monday, July 10, 2023, a delegation of the new executive committee of the High Council of the Communauté économique des états de l’afrique Centrale (CEEAC).
The delegation, led by its President Mr. Eric MONGA was made up of Mr. Daniel Claude ABATE, Vice-President of the HCA-ECCAS ; Mrs. Agathe MISSAMOU, Rapporteur ; and Gloria KAMANZI, Treasurer.
Thegoal of the meeting is thegrowth of trade between the member states of the ECCAS, in a context where theCentral Africa is lagging behind, compared to the eight other economic communities that account for theAfrica. Itwill be in the long term, to abolish all the difficulties related to the corridors, multimodal transport and the movement of people and goods, among others. Cameroon through the NBAC is the first stop ofa tour aimed 11 other countries.
As a reminder, the Commission of the ECCAS has included among the priorities of the strategic indicative Plan of the medium-term 2021-2025, the establishment of a High Council of Affairs in central Africa.
