The High Council of the Affairs of the ECCAS and the Federation of Enterprises in the Congo in partnership with the Economic Commission of the ECCAS, organized, July 10, 2024 at the headquarters of the FEC, a workshop presentation of the legal mechanisms of the free trade area of the ECCAS.
Animated by the Commissioner-General of ECCAS in charge of the Common Market, this workshop aimed to :
Inform the economic operators of all the mechanisms at their disposal within the framework of the Free trade Area of the ECCAS and ;
Discuss on the strategic role of the DRC in the operationalisation of this Free-trade area : an expected role in the process of economic and trade integration of Central Africa.
The different presentations of the experts of the ECCAS and the Ministry of foreign trade have helped make the state of the premises of the free trade area of the community and to enlighten the participants on the various legal instruments relating thereto, including the rules of origin of the ECCAS as well as the preferential treatment of ECCAS.
